Brompton subscription

If you want to hire a bike but not aim to purchase then this is for you. You can hire through the Cycle to Work Scheme and save between 28% to 47% off the normal hire price.

How it works

Your employer will pay us for a subscription to your chosen bike and then you will repay your employer via a salary sacrifice arrangement. This means that the repayments come out of your gross salary, saving you an amount of tax and national insurance payments.

Depending on your tax rate, you either save 28, 42 or 47%.
You can hire a Brompton folding bike over a 12 or 18 month period. You will need to check with your employer about what time period they allow. The Salary Sacrifice Agreement will be for the same duration.

What’s included?

The package will include your chosen Brompton bike, insurance cover, servicing and repairs. Accidental damage and theft insurance becomes active once you have received your bike.

Your Brompton will be a refurbished bike, which can be adjusted for height, using an extended seat post if necessary, so that it can fit someone up to 6ft 6ins (198cm). The maximum weight including luggage the bike can carry is 110kg.

Fast delivery to your door

Brompton typically despatches orders within a week of your order being received. The Brompton customer service team will be in touch to let you know when it will arrive.

Service and repairs

For servicing, Brompton will contact you when it’s coming up to 6 months since the start of the hire or since the last service. If you have a puncture or faulty gears before the service is due, simply contact their customer support and they’ll take care of it. You will receive a courtesy bike to keep you moving.

Easy return or renewal

When your contract is up, Brompton will contact you with the option to return the bike or move to a rolling contact until you decide to cancel. If you decide to return the bike Brompton will arrange collection.

Cancellation

Once your subscription has started, if you no longer want the bike, you will have to contact Brompton customer support. Your rights will be subject to their terms and conditions. GCI has no influence on this. Any refunds are at the discretion of Brompton and are handled on an individual basis.
